Activities and Special Events

Special Events are designed to enrich community and member experience of the Kennedy collections, featuring activities such as vault tours of rarely seen holdings, hands on art making, or lectures, music events and poetry readings relevant to the current exhibitions. 


Thursday, February 19, 2026, 5:30 – 7pm

A 90-minute reading of the Tony Award winning play presented in conjunction with the  “Resilience and Resistance” exhibit at the Kennedy. Mark Rothko and his young assistant furiously wrangle over art and morality in Red by John Logan, featuring School of Theater actors Evan Bergman (faculty, member of Actors’ Equity Association) and James Walkowski (Senior BFA actor and Kennedy Museum student employee). Directed by Shelley Delaney.


Annual Meetings

Annual Meetings look back at the past year by summarizing the activities of the Friends of the Kennedy Museum of Art and look forward to the future through election of new board members. The meetings also provide members the opportunity to meet socially to share featured art and light libations.
